While The Kings Head delights many, some guests have noted occasional issues with the temperature inside during peak times, particularly in warmer weather. Reports indicate that some windows remain shut due to maintenance issues, leading to a hot dining environment. A few patrons mention busy nights can feel cramped, especially during the buzz of Friday dinners. Though generally well-received, a limited selection of desserts has been a point of feedback, with some wishing for more innovative sweet options on the menu. Despite these minor setbacks, the overall experience remains largely positive.
First rate service, polite and friendly. We ate there as well and the food was nice and good value.
Fantastic service, amazing food, great atmosphere. Just a shame our window wouldn't open (apparently key was lost many years ago). Room was very hot
Excellent food and service. Massive portions. All home made. Thoroughly recommend. Extensive menu. Definitely going to make dining here a habit.

Have eaten here many times and always enjoyed our food, but had our first carvery today. Hands down the best carvery we've had, anywhere. Good choice of meats, huge yorkies, crispy roast potatoes and parsnips, and a great choice of sides. And to top it off , it was really good value. So impressed!
We regularly go to the Kings Head over the years & have never been disappointed. The food is well cooked & tasty. Service is good. The Bonoffi pie is delicious !. Highly recommended.
Very impressed 👌 Good Carvery, wonderfull staff. Despite a relativity small carvery, they've got it very well organised that they're able to serve everyone with barely any wait times. (We visited at 1pm on a Sunday in August with glorious weather outside) I Highly recommend this place.
